ISM Raceway Sells Branded Entrance To Desert Diamond Casinos

ISM Raceway has sold its second "canyon" branded entrance to Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, completing the sales efforts for those specific assets. Financial terms were not disclosed for the multiyear deal, which will be announced today. Desert Diamond joins venue title sponsor ISM Connect as companies sponsoring the entrances, which have more than 20,000 square feet of space for activation, including a concourse and suite levels.

The idea to sell branded entrance areas was adopted from sister track Daytona Int'l Speedway’s “injector” entrances. Desert Diamond, which previously entitled the IndyCar race at ISM, also will become the title sponsor of the track’s fall NASCAR Xfinity Series race in ’19 and ’20. Desert Diamond has four locations in Arizona and is owned and operated by a company formed by the tribal Tohono O’odham Nation.

Meanwhile, the track announced a grandstand and hospitality suite sellout for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Can-Am 500, a strong start to the track’s $178M renovation effort, which includes a new roughly 45,000-seat grandstand. The track’s previous grandstands were torn down, so attendance will be the roughly 45,000 people, plus the attendance for infield passes, camping and suites. The track, which has 54 suites, also said that it sold out of reserved camping for this weekend and only has standing-room-only tickets and infield passes left.

Quote of the Day
I love it that we beat the hot, sexy southern cities. Michigan and Ohio, in particular, we always struggle to have these kinds of wins when we're competing against these hot, sexy cities. And I love it today that we stuck it to them and we won.
