WWE Sees Revenue Jump In Q4 Despite Controversial Saudi Event

WWE’s stock jumped 4.7% on Thursday after the company “boasted of stronger-than-expected demand” for its international PPV events, including its “Super Show-Down” in Australia and ”Crown Jewel” in Saudi Arabia. Despite the controversy around the Saudi Arabia event, the show “helped boost revenue” in the entertainment company’s media group, which includes PPV events, by more than 40%, to $205.3M -- or 75% of the corporate total. For the company as a whole, Q4 revenue rose 29%, to $272.5M ( N.Y. POST, 2/8 ).
