The NHL has named 19-year-old viral TikTok sensation and content creator Josh Richards as special adviser to help the league reach a younger audience and the next generation of hockey fans. The one-year relationship will begin July 1 as Richards, a Toronto native and lifelong hockey fan, participates in a conversation with Commissioner Gary Bettman. It is unclear if there is a monetary element to the relationship, which will also feature Richards making appearances at NHL tentpole events.
