During last night's HOF Game pregame telecast on Fox, inductee Jimmy Johnson sat next to Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones, and Fox’ Terry Bradshaw asked, “Jerry, when are you going to put Jimmy in the Ring of Honor?” Jones said the team's Ring of Honor is for people who have “contributed to the story of the franchise, and it’s kind of hard to not recognize” Johnson’s “contribution.” Fox' Curt Menefee: “So are we making an announcement here?” Jones: “He will be in the Ring of Honor.” Menefee: “You heard it here first.” Johnson joked, “While I’m alive?” Fox Troy Aikman: “Jimmy couldn't have been the coach that he was had it not been for Jerry and his ownership, and Jerry wouldn't have been the owner that he was had it not been for Jimmy as the head coach. We were the beneficiaries of that. I’m just glad to see these two together. It’s what we’ve all been hoping for” ( “NFL on Fox Pregame,” Fox, 8/5).
