Coca-Cola and State Farm are "reassessing partnerships with Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League," after the state of California’s Department of Fair Employment & Housing "sued the video game giant over allegations of widespread harassment and discrimination." Activision Blizzard runs the OWL and the Call of Duty League, with Coca-Cola and State Farm "two of seven sponsors currently listed on the Overwatch League website." A State Farm spokesperson said the insurance provider requested that “no advertisements run during the matches this weekend.” A Coca-Cola spokesperson said that the company has "been closely monitoring the situation." That person "declined to comment on whether Coca-Cola would continue to sponsor" the OWL (WASHINGTON POST, 8/6).
