IndyCar is interested in putting Iowa Speedway back on its schedule and has had advanced talks with NASCAR, which owns the track, about returning as soon as ’22. Sources said that midwestern grocery chain HyVee would likely serve as the title sponsor for a prospective race. IndyCar declined to comment on the possibility. The open wheel circuit held a race at the track every year from ’07-20. While financial concerns were cited as a reason for not going to Iowa this year, IndyCar reportedly has been looking to add more ovals to its schedule in future years.
