N.Y.-based sports marketing agency Allied Sports will be the NWSL’s lead agency for sponsorship sales, with an eye on brokering and securing multiyear deals. Allied Sports will work in tandem with the NWSL’s sponsorship group, led by Chief Revenue Officer Mitch Poll. Current NWSL sponsors include Ally, Budweiser, Deloitte, Mastercard and Nationwide, among others. The NWSL, which will expand to 12 teams in '22 with the additions of Angel City FC and San Diego Wave FC, enters its 10th anniversary season with a new Commissioner in Jessica Berman, who previously served as NLL Deputy Commissioner since '19. She will start on April 20. The expanded 39-match '22 NWSL Challenge Cup begins Friday.
