Brazilian soccer legend Pelé is "receiving palliative care after chemotherapy stopped having the expected results" as he battles colon cancer. Pelé was admitted to hospital on Tuesday to "re-evaluate his cancer treatment and later diagnosed with a respiratory infection" (REUTERS, 12/3). Hours later, Pelé in a statement on social media said he was "at the hospital making my monthly visit" and he thanked "everyone who sends me good vibes" (SI.com, 12/3).
The entire Cowboys OL and 26 Cowboys coaches, including Mike McCarthy, will "wear at least one painted cleat or shoe" today against the Colts in "support of the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation." Today is the Cowboys' Salute to Service home game, which coincides with the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats campaign (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 12/3).
