Facilities: Poised for growth

Bryan Trubey’s decision to launch a new sports practice at architecture and design firm Overland Partners appears well-timed. While 2022 will see only $1.84 billion in major league venue openings (new construction and renovations), Trubey, the former HKS sports practice head, is among the many who think the coming year will plant the seeds for a significant sports venue building boom in the next five or six years. “I think we’re going to have double or triple the [design] work in a year of any given prior year,” Trubey said of 2022.

Quote of the Day
In every city this year -- every city -- we have sold more season tickets than we had last year. ... -- Dodgers CEO and PWHL board member Stan Kasten, on the overall health and continuing growth of the PWHL.
