St. Louis finally ready for MLS debut

Carolyn Kindle wasn’t much of a soccer fan when she and her family paid $200 million to bring an MLS team to St. Louis in 2019 — she admits to buying a copy of “Soccer for Dummies” early in the process. Now, she’s the president, CEO and controlling owner of St. Louis City SC, which is set to make its debut this month as Major League Soccer’s 29th team, and the first led by a majority female ownership group.
