HBCU Gameday, a leading media site for sports coverage of historically black colleges and universities, released its flagship mobile app with news, video, live scores and stats from Genius Sports and AI-powered game analysis. The generative AI previews and recaps are a product of Genius’ NCAA LiveStats product and Boost Sport’s natural language technologies.
Founded in 2012 by Steven J. Gaither with partners Tolly Carr and Wali Pitt, HBCU Gameday combines news stories and an ad-supported, on-demand video library. That content has been available via Roku and Fire TV OTT channels and will now also live in the app, which was developed by Pitt. HBCU Gameday reports an annual reach of more than one million users.
