St. Bonaventure Univ. named Bob Beretta the schools next AD, according to the AP. Beretta — who played baseball for St. Bonaventure and graduated from the school in 1987 — replaces Joe Manhertz, who “resigned abruptly in March over questions regarding the men's basketball program opting out of competing in the NIT without initially informing its players and fans.” Prior to returning to St. Bonaventure, Beretta spent 34 years at Army-West Point, “working his way up the athletic department hierarchy” to become Army's senior exec. associate AD. Beretta left Army in 2021 to become the AD at Le Moyne, where the school made the jump to the Northeast Conference (AP, 6/4).
