World Athletics has signed a five-deal with Tata Communications to provide global host broadcasting services for its series events starting in 2025. The deal includes the World Athletics Championship, held in Tokyo next year, as well as championships for indoor (Nanjing, China), relays (Guangzhou, China) and road running (San Diego). Tata Communications will deliver content to broadcasters globally as well as through localized regional feeds (Rachel Axon, SBJ).
Manchester City announced a new global partnership with JinkoSolar, that will see the brand become the club’s Official Solar Energy Partner (Manchester City).
Canadian pro women’s soccer league the Northern Super League has landed a broadcast deal with games airing on TSN, CBC-Sports and Radio-Canada. In addition, RDS will “provide French-language coverage of select matches featuring the Montreal franchise” (CP, 6/11).
