The D-backs inducted Baseball HOFer Randy Johnson and former MLBer Luis Gonzalez into the franchise's HOF on Saturday at Chase Field. The first two players to be inducted into the D-backs HOF were welcomed in an on-field ceremony prior to the game against the Pirates. The families of Johnson and Gonzalez were present and original radio play-by-play announcer Greg Schulte emceed the event. Fans wore “dark teal-colored commemorative T-shirts” and “roared for both former players as they were introduced." The organization “will have a committee to determine" future HOF inductees (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 7/27).

Meanwhile, the Steelers named four new members into the team's Hall of Honor: Pro Football HOFer Dick LeBeau and former NFLers Casey Hampton, Willie Parker and Jason Gildon. This brings the total to 57 in the Steelers’ Hall of Honor. The newest inductees will be enshrined Dec. 7 and "will then be saluted with an on-field ceremony" at the Dec. 8 game against the Browns at Acrisure Stadium (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 7/27).
