The SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS went with the header, "At Paris' most spectacular Olympic venues, some events live up to the setting." Say what you will about the French, but "they know how to show off." And whether it’s been beach volleyball in an "awe-inspiring stadium" at the base of the Eiffel Tower, or equestrian on the "immaculate lawn" of the Château de Versailles, or road cycling on the Place du Trocadéro, "huge crowds have flocked to some of the city’s best-known attractions." They’ve flocked there "to see the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, sure" -- but "the views don’t hurt."
