ESPN taps Riddick to replace RGIII on CFB coverage

ESPN has added Louis Riddick to the ESPN and ABC college football crew, replacing analyst Robert Griffin III, that includes play-by-play voice Bob Wischusen and sideline reporter Kris Budden. Riddick will still call “select” “Monday Night Football” games in addition to the slate of ESPN’s studio coverage. The move comes less than a week after Griffin and Sam Ponder were let go by the network, reportedly for “budgetary reasons.” ESPN also announced a new host for “Sunday NFL Countdown,” which Ponder used to host, naming Mike Greenberg as the “face of the weekly program” (N.Y. POST, 8/20).
