The UConn athletic department reported a “self-generated” $62.7M in revenue during FY 2024, according to Mike Anthony of the NEW HAVEN REGISTER. A university subsidy that the department received “hovered in the same territory” at $31.7M in 2024, versus $30.2M in 2023. That gap had “ballooned” to $46.5M -- $53M including student fees -- in 2022, a year during which former men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie received $13.4M owed to him. The school reported $105,579,698 in revenue and $100,969,851 in expenses for FY 2024. Operating expenses in 2024 were $20.4M for men's basketball, $18.45M for football and $12.53M for women's basketball. UConn reported $8.3M in ticket sales for men's basketball, $3.25M for women's basketball and $2.2M for football. The $16.1M in total ticket sales was an increase from $12.9M in 2023 (NEW HAVEN REGISTER, 1/15).
