After 16 years on YouTube, tens of millions of subscribers and loads of brand deals and partnerships behind them, trick shot sensation Dude Perfect on Wednesday unveiled its 80,000-square-foot headquarters, titled DPHQ3, located in Jerry Jones’ Star Business Park in Frisco, Texas.

What began as a way for Texas A&M roommates to bet on sandwiches has turned into a multimillion-dollar venture, with Dude Perfect still fresh off raising $100 million from private investment firm Highmount Capital. Now, the Dudes are eyeing the next phase of the company’s growth.

The space features two warehouses, one of which is still in development. Though many ideas are still being thrown around, the Dudes plan on hosting a retail space and experiential activities for fans within the warehouse next door.

Dude Perfect has considered building a $100 million amusement park-style attraction, potentially titled Dude Perfect World, and has partnered with San Antonio-based architecture firm Overland Partners for the concept. It’s a vision that still exists, Dude Perfect cast member Coby Cotton said.

“We’re trying to decide exactly what that [warehouse space] looks like. But this would not replace any large-scale, theme park-type ideas that we have. This would even be more like a testing ground for those ideas,” Cotton said.

The YouTube channel will be able to take on more ideas as the new headquarters also features a football field, basketball court, miniature golf course, weight room, candy room and expanded space for producers and more.

The Dude Perfect channel has amassed more than 60 million subscribers and over 15 billion views since launching in 2009. Since then, the company has gained deals with Walmart, ESPN, Nike, the Olympics and others and launched a streaming service — the Dude Perfect app.

Greenville, S.C.-based design services company Jack Porter helped bring the building’s visuals to life as it was responsible for laying out a big portion of the building’s art. Others, like Dude Perfect cast member Garrett Hilbert, who studied architecture at Texas A&M, helped lead the building’s design as he handled spaces like the offices on the second floor.

New CEO Andrew Yaffe declined to share details of how much it cost to build the HQ, but the number reportedly hovers toward approximately $3 million to $5 million. Dude Perfect does not own the building, and instead rents it for an undisclosed amount from Jones’ Blue Star Land, the company that purchased Star Business Park in 2018.

Dude Perfect’s employee count in Frisco is at 30, with roles in producing and brand partnerships. However, by the end of the year, Yaffe told SBJ, that number is expected to jump to more than 50.

“We need a lot of space for production, commercial, finance and legal. But we also just needed real production space,” Yaffe said. “Every video we do, we try to do something bigger than before. At some point, you need to keep growing.”

Yaffe, who served as the NBA’s head of social, digital and original content, said the location gives Dude Perfect a big advantage as it’s only minutes from other key points in Frisco such as the PGA of America’s headquarters, Dallas Cowboys headquarters and FC Dallas’ home venue, Toyota Stadium.

Though the team considered putting its HQ somewhere else in the U.S., staying true to their Texan roots was an important element for their families and for the future of the brand, Cotton said.

“Every major athlete, entertainer, music artist, comes through Dallas once a year,” he said. “One of our dreams is that when they’re coming through Dallas, that they would pop in and treat it like a late-night show. Whether it’s to have fun or create content.”
