The impact that former NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden still has in sports (and video games, for that matter), even years after his retirement and death, are a tribute to his longtime agent Sandy Montag. As head of The Montag Group (acquired by Wasserman in 2022), he also represented top-tier broadcasters, including Bob Costas, Mike Tirico, Jim Nantz and Scott Van Pelt, and worked alongside some of the industry’s most revered industry leader leaders, including Mark McCormack and Sean McManus, during his 30 years at IMG. As well-connected within the media side of the sports business as anyone, Montag continues to have vast influence even after more than 40 years in the business.
