Disney CEO BOB IGER plans to “officially” hand over the reins to Disney Experiences Chair JOSH D’AMARO on Wednesday, according to Todd Spangler of VARIETY. Iger will “leave behind a strong track record of successfully executing big M&A deals and pulling the media conglomerate into the streaming era.” After leaving Disney, Iger has said he wants to “dedicate more time to non-Disney pursuits,” including NWSL club Angel City FC, in which he and his wife WILLOW BAY purchased a controlling stake two years ago (VARIETY, 3/17).
