The Raptors tailgate experience is returning to “provide the ‘cornerstone’ experience for fans” during home and away games after the team made the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2021-22 season, according to Daniyah Yaqoob of the TORONTO STAR. The tailgate experience at Maple Leaf Square, known as Jurassic Park during Raptors’ post-season trips, will include “onstage entertainment, celebrity and team-personality appearances, food, merchandise and exclusive prizes.” It will all kick off on Saturday, as the Raptors face the Cavaliers for Game 1 of the first round. A mobile pass is “required to get a spot in Jurassic Park with hundreds of other fans.” To access the tailgate, fans can “enter a draw for free tickets with Raptors Fan Access through the Raptors App” starting at 9am the day before each confirmed game. Entries will close at noon, and selected fans will be notified at 1pm the same day. Meanwhile, a number of “other fan opportunities are available in anticipation of the playoffs.” A “day party inside Scotiabank Arena’s broadcast studio and concourse is planned, complete with live DJs, food offerings, giveaways and coffee courtesy of The Coffee Party.” During the playoffs, fans will be able to “create a ‘unique Raptors-themed self-portrait’ through the Raptors App to share across social channels” (TORONTO STAR, 4/13).
