Former NFLer EZEKIEL ELLIOTT has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA and the Big Ten, “accusing both of continuing to cash in on his name, image, and likeness without compensation.” Elliott’s lawsuit are numerous highlights from Elliott’s time as a star at Ohio State from 2013-2015 that allegedly “continue to be used on various NCAA-associated platforms.” According to the lawsuit, Elliott has “not seen any revenue from the continued use of the highlights, and does not profit” from the jersey sales of his No. 15 Buckeye threads. He is seeking damages, although no dollar amount is mentioned. He joins Lions WR JAMESON WILLIAMS, who launched a lawsuit last month (CALIFORNIA POST, 5/5).

CASE DISMISSED: NFL free agent STEFON DIGGS was “found not guilty of felony strangulation and not guilty of misdemeanor assault and battery” in connection with an alleged dispute with his private chef over money she said that he owed her for her services (L.A. TIMES, 5/5).

NAMES: The Truist Championship announced Tuesday that former Charlotte Observer columnists RON GREEN SR. and son RON GREEN JR. “will be honored with an annual $10,000 scholarship.” The scholarship will be awarded to one undergraduate student at the Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill each year who is “enrolled in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media and has a demonstrated interest in sports communications” (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 5/5).
