Apple TV will present an entire MLS match shot exclusively on iPhone 17 Pros, marking the first time an iPhone will be used to capture the entirety of a major professional live sporting event broadcast. The Saturday match will be between the LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo FC. Apple TV first incorporated iPhone into a live sports broadcast during a September 2025 “Friday Night Baseball” matchup. iPhone 17 Pro footage was also incorporated into its MLS Cup telecast in December 2025 (MLS). Crew members will use 15 iPhone 17 Pros “positioned throughout the venue” (VARIETY, 5/21).
