The sales market around the Seahawks recently “has been robust” and there could be a “special meeting among NFL owners this coming August” to approve a new ownership group, according to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport. The sale “could eclipse” the $10B mark, which would set a new record for a North American franchise. Earlier reports had the market for the Super Bowl LX champs “softer than they thought.” However, Rapoport reported things “have really picked up steam” in recent weeks. The identities of any potential groups looking at the Seahawks were not named (“The Pat McAfee Show,” ESPN, 5/27).
