The ticket prices for U.S.-Bosnia and Herzegovina have dropped 49% from their peak, but the match still remains the fourth-priciest of the 16 World Cup Round of 32 games, according to TicketData.com. The get-in price for Wednesday’s showdown at S.F. Bay Area Stadium as of noon ET on Wednesday was $1,650. That is far from its peak of $3,285 following the Americans’ victory over Australia in their second group game, but it is still well above the $800 price point when the tournament started. Only three Round of 32 matches are more expensive: Argentina-Cabo Verde ($2,022), Mexico-Ecuador ($1,999) and Portugal-Croatia ($1,856). Also, U.S.-Bosnia is cheaper than the co-hosts’ three group games against Paraguay ($1,437), Australia ($1,758) and Turkiye ($1,907) (Joe Lago, SBJ).

ACROSS THE NORTH: The CP wrote ticket prices for Thursday’s Round of 32 match in Vancouver have “plummeted since it became clear Canada wouldn’t be playing there” -- but it is a “whole different ball game in Toronto.” Fans there will “get to see two highly rated teams” -- Portugal and Croatia -- and “prices are about four times higher than at BC Place.” The cheapest tickets for Switzerland-Algeria at BC Place “plunged from around” $2,100 last Wednesday to about $610 on Tuesday. The lowest Portugal-Croatia entry price was around $2,580. FIFA’s official resale marketplace on Tuesday showed Croatia-Portugal as the only Round of 32 match “without any tickets available, while numerous tickets for the match in Vancouver were up for grabs,” starting at $474 (CP, 6/30).

MAIN ATTRACTIONS: In Toronto, James Bullanoff reported fans who do not have tickets to the last World Cup match in Toronto “will literally have to spend thousands of dollars if they really want to get in to the stadium” to see Portugal and F Cristiano Ronaldo against Croatia and MF Luka Modric. People are “listing tickets on the secondary market for eye-popping prices,” with tickets on StubHub ranging from $2,656 to $6,043 while on SeatGeek, they are being listed from $2,325 to $24,600. Thursday will mark the first time Ronaldo has played in Toronto since 2009, and it “will likely be the last World Cup appearance for one of the two aging superstars.” Prices for Canada’s next match in Houston “aren’t any better.” Tickets for Saturday’s Round of 16 match against Morocco range from $1,961 to $3,034 on the official FIFA website. On StubHub, tickets are listed from $1,410 to $13,155 and on SeatGeek, from $1,339 to $8,229 (TORONTO STAR, 6/30).

NIGHT AND DAY: In Seattle, Sofia Schwarzwalder noted ticket prices for Wednesday’s Belgium-Senegal match at Seattle Stadium started at $253 on Tuesday morning, according to FIFA’s resale marketplace. It is a “stark difference” compared to the offerings for Seattle’s July 6 Round of 16 game, where the cheapest ticket available currently sits around $1,700 and “majority of tickets for that game start closer to $2,000.” Seattle’s final match will feature the winner of Belgium-Senegal and the winner of U.S.-Bosnia and Herzegovina. If the U.S. wins on Wednesday evening, ticket prices are “expected to go up even more” (SEATTLE TIMES, 6/30).
