The NBA today announced the institution of a concussion management program that combines education, clinical management and data collection/analysis. The program became effective as of the start of training camp. The league hired Univ. of Michigan neurology professor Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher as the Director of the NBA Concussion Program. Other details include annual training and education using up-to-date science on concussions; annual baseline testing of players; and a customized post-injury concussion assessment tool ( NBA ).
