MLS today announced more testing results and scheduling modifications, including tomorrow’s Fire-Nashville SC match being postponed to a later date. This comes a day after FC Dallas withdrew from the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando. The July 10 Toronto FC-DC United match is now slated for July 12 because of Toronto’s postponed arrival in Orlando. Additionally, the July 10 Sounders-Earthquakes match is now scheduled for a 9:00pm ET start time.
Five Nashville SC players have had confirmed positive COVID-19 tests since arriving in Orlando on Friday. The club is still awaiting further testing from four other players who received inconclusive test results. “In conjunction with the club, MLS will continue to evaluate Nashville SC’s participation in the MLS is Back Tournament following the results of additional testing,” the league said in a statement.
