Justin Timberlake Joins Group Eyeing MLB In Nashville

Justin Timberlake today "cast his lot" with Music City Baseball, the group "gaining momentum in its effort" to bring an MLB franchise to Nashville. The team's planned name "will be the Nashville Stars and it's difficult to imagine a bigger star than Timberlake joining the mix." The musician and actor is from Memphis, and he "became a minority owner" of the Grizzlies in '12. Timberlake in a statement said, "I believe in Music City Baseball’s vision of linking baseball and music in a unique way" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 9/9).
