Panini inks NIL deal with three top college QBs

Three top college QBs -- Miami's D'Eriq King, Wisconsin's Graham Mertz and Ole Miss' Matt Corral -- have "signed an exclusive memorabilia deal with Panini America." The trio "will sell autographed footballs, helmets and other items while also making appearances at public memorabilia-signing events." Panini said that details on the public-signing events "will be released 'in the near future.'" The company also said that it "plans to introduce NIL trading cards soon" that feature current college athletes (South Florida SUN SENTINEL, 7/28). Panini holds trademark licensing rights to more than 200 collegiate institutions in the trading card market through a license agreement with CLC, and was recently granted the ability to produce trading cards featuring college athletes through a deal with OneTeam Partners (Panini America).
