NWSL club Gotham FC today named Andrea Pagnanelli Chief Business Officer. She joins GM Yael Averbuch West and Assistant GM Stephanie Lee in a fully woman-led front office. Pagnanelli most recently served as Thuzio COO. Prior to that, she focused on growing the game of soccer domestically and internationally in roles with LAFC and Relevent Sports.
Meanwhile, USL second division club Oakland Roots hired Lindsay Barenz as the club's new President. Barenz' most recent role was NWSL Washington Spirit, and she brings to bear experience in men’s and women’s pro soccer at the club and league level. She starts at the Roots on Jan. 18th, succeeding interim President Steven Aldrich, who will now focus on his role as Club Chair (SBJ).
