AC Milan says European Super League off agenda

Serie A side AC Milan said that the European Super League is not on its agenda after posting losses of €66M ($66.1M) for the 2021-22 season. Speaking to shareholders following the approval of last season's accounts, Milan CEO Paolo Scaroni said the Serie A club had "put the Super League to one side." However, a source confirmed to AFP that Scaroni also said European soccer has problems the club hopes can be resolved so that a similar breakaway "doesn't happen again." In a statement released on Wednesday Milan said they had cut its losses by around a third to €66.5M after increasing revenue by 14 percent to €297.7M, with a €32.5M increase in matchday revenue and commercial revenue up by €17.6M (AFP, 10/26).

Meanwhile, the signing of the renewal of the partnership between Milan and Emirates is expected in the next few days, with the current deal set to expire at the end of the season in June 2023 (REUTERS, 10/26),
