By Liz Mullen , Staff Writer, SportsBusiness Journal The NFL and the NFLPA will hold their second formal bargaining session for a new labor deal for players on Tuesday, July 14, in DC, where the union is headquartered, sources said. The first official bargaining session under NFLPA Exec Dir DeMaurice Smith was held on June 3 in N.Y. Next week’s meeting is not expected to produce any news, as both sides have agreed to keep talks confidential, a common practice in the early stages of bargaining. The NFL CBA expires in ‘11. If there is no deal by March, the ‘10 season will operate without a salary cap.
