OneTwoSee, a Philadelphia-based developer of second-screen experiences for sports, has signed a deal with Canadian broadcaster Sportsnet to develop interactive offerings for the channel's NHL coverage this season. The effort is part of a broader push by Sportsnet and parent company Rogers Communications to innovate around hockey coverage. The online enhancements, located at Sportsnet.ca, include live player performance indices, win probability meters, social feeds, and team and player comparisons, among other data. OneTwoSee provided similar analytics for Sportsnet for its MLB coverage this past summer, but the hockey effort represents the net's largest audiences. OneTwoSee has also signed a multiyear contract extension with Fox Sports to provide similar interactivity for a variety of sports shown on that network.
