The rating is also well above the 3.8 overnight in '13 for Tony Kanaan's win under caution -- a figure that remains an all-time low for the Indy 500 since it began airing live in '86. The race drew a 4.1 overnight in '12 and a 4.3 overnight in '11. Indianapolis led all markets with a 12.7 local rating for the race despite it being shown locally on tape delay. Meanwhile, Fox on Sunday night drew a 3.7 overnight for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte Motor Speedway, which saw Carl Edwards take the checkered flag. That figure is down from a 3.9 overnight last year and a 4.1 overnight in both '13 and '12. The race again delivered Fox a primetime win among all broadcast TV nets. While the IndyCar race topped NASCAR in overnight ratings, the same case occurred last year. However, when fast-national ratings were released, the Coca-Cola 600 ended up topping the Indy 500. Fast-national data for both races is likely to be available later today. Also on Sunday, NBC drew a 1.1 overnight for the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco, up slightly from a 1.0 overnight last year.
