UFC fighter Conor McGregor, through his company McGregor Sports & Entertainment, has "filed to trademark his name and his nickname 'The Notorious,'" according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com The two filings, which were recently posted on the website for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, state that McGregor "intends to use the trademarks with products such as aftershave, video games, books, clothing, restaurants, barbershops and health clubs." While McGregor has had a "separate deal with Reebok that allows them to use his name and nickname, the company does not own the marks," and neither does the UFC (ESPN.com, 1/16).
