One Final Completion: Romo's Presence Helps Mavs Double Season Ratings Average

The Mavericks "really got a boost" from Tony Romo's presence at last week's home finale, as he "helped earn the Mavericks a 1.8 rating" on KTXA-CBS for the team's loss to the Nuggets, according to Barry Horn of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Tuesday's game marked the Mavericks' "third-highest TV rating of the season." The longtime Cowboys QB "dressed up in a home team uniform" for the game and participated in pregame activities. The Mavs closed their season the following night against the Grizzlies, when they "scored half that rating, a 0.9," on KTXA. The team averaged a 0.9 rating for six games on KTXA this season. The Mavericks, who this season missed the playoffs for just the second time in 17 years, also averaged a 0.9 for 74 games on FS Southwest. Last season, they averaged a 1.6 on the RSN (DALLASNEWS.com, 4/14).
