Atlanta United is on pace to break the record for all-time sales for MLS champion merchandise, more than doubling the previous record held by the Sounders in ’16, according to Fanatics. Saturday’s MLS Cup broke the single-day record for sales during an MLS event, and it was also Fanatics’ all-time record for in-venue sales for a location that it operates. The top-selling items include the championship locker room hat and T-shirt, a shirt and scarf featuring the team’s message of “Conquered,” and a team jersey with “Champions ‘18” on the back. Atlanta United F and MLS MVP Josef Martinez, who also was named MLS Cup MVP, was one of the top-selling players across all of Fanatics’ platforms on Saturday. Atlanta United won the MLS Cup 2-0 over the Timbers before a record crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium .
