Poll: Pirates Fans Fading On Bob Nutting With Team's Small Payroll

A poll tracking the popularity of Pirates players and management found that an "overwhelming 68 percent of respondents" said that they "don't like" Chair Bob Nutting after an offseason that saw the team's payroll fall below $70M, according to Adam Bittner of the PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE. Another 26% through the early weeks of polling said that they "like him just a little," while 6% said that they "like him a lot." Those numbers have "barely changed over the weeks," and they "compare favorably" with those of former Steelers WR Antonio Brown. Pirates Exec VP & GM Neal Huntington has "fared somewhat better in the early polling." A "slim 51 percent majority said they don't like him at all," but 41% "like him a little and 8 percent said they like him a lot" (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 3/9).
