Former NFLer Marshawn Lynch is "making his third appearance in an ad for a Frito-Lay brand since September," according to Sebastian Obando of ADWEEK. Lynch in one spot is "happily enjoying the jalapeno version of Lay's Kettle Cooked chips when his agent, Doug, calls with a new proposal." The chips are "so crunchy, however, Lynch doesn't properly hear what Doug is saying -- or realize what he is agreeing to until it's too late." The spots "will run on TV and digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Amazon." Last September, Lynch collaborated with Frito-Lay on an ad that likened the NFL season kickoff to Christmas morning. A few months later, Frito-Lay riffed on a familiar theme in its 60-second Super Bowl ad, "Twas the Night Before Super Bowl" (ADWEEK.com, 3/30).
