Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners Sign Sleep Tech Deal With ChiliSleep

The Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds have partnered with sleep technology brand ChiliSleep. Both MLB teams have given their players access to the brand’s temperature-controlled sleep products at home and on the road this season.

ChiliSleep’s hydro-powered OOLER mattress pad comes with a control unit to change the pad’s temperature from 55 to 115 degrees depending on a user’s preferences. Also, ChiliSleep’s mobile app has a scheduling feature to alter temperatures throughout a user’s sleep cycle.

Last year, the Mariners also partnered with Oura Ring to monitor player’s quality of sleep.

“Players today want every opportunity to improve their performance. The science clearly points to the benefits of quality sleep especially when it comes to reaction time, cognitive function, recovery and injury prevention,” Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said in a statement.
