Snapchat Super Bowl activations include AR lenses of State Farm Stadium, jerseys, more

Snap is introducing a series of NFL branded Super Bowl activations for Snapchat users, including AR lenses that place a 3D replica of State Farm Stadium in their environment that will include live score, game clock and play-by-play stats.

Snapchatters can also use the social media company’s new Live Garment Transfer technology to wear Chiefs or Eagles jerseys that enable users to look like they are actually wearing the apparel, or they can create customized AR bobbleheads using any NFL team’s jersey and number. Also available are special Super Bowl episodes of NFL Extra Point and NFL Audible as well as near real-time content on the NFL Highlights channel. Snap reported that its users engaged with AR over 2.1 billion times during last year’s Super Bowl Sunday, with more than 18 million watching related content.
