Eagles Fans Take To Streets Of Philly In Victory Celebration

Eagles' Championship Parade Set To Be Wild, Raucous Affair

The Eagles will hold their championship parade down Broad Street this week, and it "might be the biggest moment in Philadelphia sports history" ( PHILLY.com, 2/5 ). City officials said that details will be released later today, and "it's going to be crazy" ( SI.com, 2/5 ). Last night's celebrations are “just the appetizer for the parade,” which likely will be held on Wednesday ( “SportsCenter,” ESPN, 2/5 ).

A Bud Light spokesperson last night confirmed the brand will "make good on a promise it made on Twitter in the summer and will give one free beer to fans 21 and older along the parade route who want to partake." Before the start of the season, Eagles OT Lane Johnson said that a Super Bowl win would "result in free beers on his tab" ( ESPN.com, 2/4 ).

Quote of the Day
We are enjoying a lot of momentum, and I think it’s due to the fact that we listen to our fans. We’ve made some changes in the game that I think were really important, and we’ve been blessed with a great influx of young talent and a lot of it showed up and played in the World Series.
