GGG, Derevyanchenko Agree To October Fight At MSG

Boxers Gennady Golovkin and Sergiy Derevyanchenko  have "agreed to terms" for an Oct. 5 middleweight title fight at MSG, and the contracts are "expected to be signed" today. A news conference to formally announce the bout is scheduled for tomorrow at the N.Y. arena. Running that event will be a "new member of Team GGG: Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn , whose company has close ties to DAZN." The network "will stream the fight" and "helped get the deal done" ( ESPN.com, 8/20 ).
