Four courtside fans -- at least one of whom was "not covering her face with a mask -- were ejected" from last night's game between the Lakers and Hawks at State Farm Arena following a "verbal spat" with Lakers F LeBron James. Juliana Carlos "posted a video on her Instagram account showing the scene shortly after State Farm Arena security personnel and one of the referees, Mitchell Ervin, intervened." James said, "At the end of the day, I'm happy fans are back in the building." He added, "They might have had a couple drinks, maybe" (ESPN.com, 2/2).
Carlos had "pulled her mask below her mouth as the shouting match unfolded." In the "rigorous protocols set by the NBA, it seemed an unfortunate episode." However, James said that he and his teammates "weren’t close enough to the scene to feel truly at risk" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 2/2).
