Thunder: No attendance for rest of season

The Thunder informed season-ticket holders that "no fans will be allowed at Thunder home games for the rest" of the '20-21 NBA season. The team has played without fans at Chesapeake Energy Arena "throughout the first half of the season." This comes as "more than half of the teams in the NBA will be playing in front of fans after the All-Star break" this weekend. The Thunder said that they "will be in contact" with season-ticket holders "over the next few weeks to discuss their accounts" (OKLAHOMAN, 3/3).

Meanwhile, the Hornets "will welcome fans back to Spectrum Center for the first time on March 13, two days after playing a home game with 500 frontline health-care workers attending." Season-ticket holders and corporate sponsors "will be able to buy seats" today and tomorrow before tickets go on sale to the public at 10:00am ET Friday. The Hornets will play 19 home games the rest of this season, and "18 of those will be open to the general public" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/3).
