COVID outbreak reported at Scotiabank Arena

Eight workers with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment tested positive for COVID-19 last month, "prompting Toronto Public Health to declare a workplace outbreak at Scotiabank Arena and order restrictions." The outbreak, discovered through on-site rapid antigen testing, "forced approximately 20 housekeeping and event staff to self-isolate beginning April 21." Healthy staff may return to work today. No area of the building itself "was ever closed." The outbreak, which occurred while the Maple Leafs were on a road trip out West, "landed MLSE on the city’s most recently issued list of workplace outbreaks" (GLOBE & MAIL, 5/5).
