Kansas State AD Gene Taylor "will replace" Texas AD Chris Del Conte on the CFP selection committee. A CFP spokesperson said that the Big 12, which has the capacity to name its representative, "made the decision to replace Del Conte." Taylor, who was nominated by the Big 12 and approved by the 10 FBS commissioners and Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick, "will serve a three-year term." Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby said, "Given what has occurred, we felt we would be better represented by another of our ADs" (ESPN.com, 8/4).
