Aktivate, a sports tech platform for K-12 schools, today announces its public launch and the closing of a $7M seed financing round. Aktivate will develop a sports administration platform and online community of millions of student athletes, their families, schools and partners. Investors include Will Ventures, as well as the Jeff Bezos/ Bill Gates/ Mark Zuckerberg-backed Village Global. Aktivate’s executive team hails from EVERFI, General Assembly and TeamSnap. Aktivate was founded by entrepreneurs Hesky Kutscher and Dhruv Singh, with a mission to transform how scholastic sports are managed and funded, and to reduce financial barriers to student participation (SBJ).
