Red Sox P Chris Sale's fourth and likely final rehab start in the minors drew a sellout crowd of 8,891 at the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox' Polar Park, where he threw into the fourth inning against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (WCVB.com, 7/6). Sale's third rehab start, last week for the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs, also drew a "sold-out crowd at Hadlock Field" of 7,368 (WGME.com, 6/30).
A man "climbed over two fences early Wednesday and went into the artificial lake at Sofi Stadium, where he drowned," according to local officials. It was "not immediately clear" why the as-yet unidentified man, "believed to be in his mid-40s," went into the lake (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 7/6).
