Ohanian: More A-listers to own TGL teams

After being unveiled as the first announced team owner in the new TGL league, Reddit co-founder and new Los Angeles Golf Club team owner Alexis Ohanian said investors in TGL include “A-listers from sports and entertainment” and that he has a “feeling we’ll be seeing quite a few of those folks in various franchises” as the league releases further ownership teams this summer. Following Tuesday’s announced merger between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and the PIF, Ohanian noted that “right now,” there are “no changes” to new indoor league. Ohanian: “The big story here is golf is unified and for us we were excited, in particular, because this is a new format, this is a new venue, this is a new way of just playing and we were excited to partner with the PGA Tour and still are” ( “SportsCenter,” ESPN, 6/9).
